golf up and down chipping

short game strategy

This game is helpful to simulate real-life circumstances with both your chipping and your putting. You can play this game by yourself, but I believe it is better if you find others to play against and simulate competition.

All you’ll need is a chipping or putting green, one ball, your putter, and a club or two to chip with. For each hole, find a position to chip from, which represents the tee box. If there are multiple holes on the green, be sure to identify which hole you are playing to. Every hole is a par 2 and is chosen by the player with the lowest score on the previous hole. The goal is to chip and putt as you would on the golf course, getting your ball up and down in as few strokes as possible. A 9 or 18 hole match will prove to be a good test for your short game.
